Approaching the task of building this mask was not simple. Initially I planned to make a series of cones taped together in order to form a natural curve on the angle of the beak. The cone method proved to complex in that it would have required ugly unorthodox bends to achieve the desired angle. This led to production of paper squares that declined in size as they led toward the tip of the beak. Staples were used to attach each square to the last. Overall the mask has a rough aesthetic that forms some interesting shadows in the right light however it could have been improved with the use of colour.
