A Day In The Life - Group Crits

Following the completion of my roughs we formed groups in order to discuss ideas roughed for the brief. During this crit I was instructed to take on my peers advice strongly and if I strongly felt the need to I could make an argument to change their preference on my ideas at the end of the crit.

The group came to the decision on my strongest concepts. Colour came into discussion and reviewing my digital roughs the group suggested that I keep colours desaturated and cool leaving out anything close to the deep red considered in my previous post.

For the most part I agreed with their decision and was happy to develop the roughs for the selected ideas further. Concluding the crit I argued the decision to use the busy street image. In my opinion this rough could be interpreted in too many differing ways considering the uniform of the figures. I proposed that the rough depicting a character sitting in a room alone with his expensive technology had more potential when it came to narrative. My peers agreed with the argument.
