OUIL603 - Watership Down

My first illustration depicts General Woundwort peering into a dark burrow just after he and his gang approach the warren in the story. I think the image has dark and fearful undertones that depict the very tense and scary scene well. The red shapes are used in attempt to suggest the light hitting the inside of the burrow - all centring around and towards the focal point of the image, General Woundwort's head.

I painted the black and overlaying shapes in acrylics, drawing the rabbits head separately and to size, applying digitally.
