OUIL603 - Zine

This brief came about through meeting the two below artists, Vrok (left) and a lad called Elliot (right). Both are active street artists and designers working in Hull. We met at an art market I was selling at in Hull last summer, we met up again in Leeds as Vrok had emailed me suggesting that the three of us collaborate on a product.

Vrok is a lot older and more experienced than Elliot and I so he's taking a lead role in designing the covers and layout of the zine. What he requires from me is five images. We were undecided on a theme for the publication until we accidentally stumbled on a subject that we thought could be fun and relatable for the audience. We were chatting about the pointless documentaries that everybody seems to watch online at the moment when we thought to make this the subject of the zine, Vrok will print and sell this in Hull and online giving equal royalties to other artists. My task is to make five images based around the last five strange or pointless facts I learnt online.

Im really excited to be working with people far more experience me and am somewhat humble to have been chosen. I hope that in being associated with these guys will gain me a lot exposure in a different city.
