OUIL603 - Zine

The third strange fact I've recently learnt from the internet is that a rattlesnake can survive for upto 18 hours without it's head - both body and head still functioning. I watched a decapitated snake bite its own tail after its head had been removed with a spade - this made an impression on me.

Developed this collage / digital painting through repetition and adjustment of a drawing from my sketchbook. I painted the cross sections with complimentary colours purple and yellow. I find experimentation with repeated images great fun and an interesting way to form new shapes and compositions.
