Tell An Untold Story Pt 2 - The Picture Book

Working over the Christmas break I drew lots of architecture noticing that the backdrop sets a scene easily identifiable to the viewer. After the crit I decided to focus my book on one character, I think drawing him within different scenes, varying architectural backdrops will give the audience a clear sense of progression in him becoming a monk and then the demise of his credibility.

Following the advice given at the previous crit I produced this storyboard. I decided that using one single character demanded the use of separate panels as putting the same person into one big image twelve times would be confusing.

Upon completion of the storyboard I was able to press on with roughs for the finished images. I made a few for each page of the book. This turned each of my pages into a brief of its own. I had to consider how best to compose the image in relation to the last adding variety as to not risk overly repetitive scenes of a monk doing things.
