Following the group crit' on the character design work I settled on my three characters. My peers gave plenty of positive feedback on my sad robot designs, hence I chosen to use these for two of my gifs. The first being relatively simple I plan to draw a malfunctioning robot with a spinning head.
Secondly I've decided to animate a fishman character that I've been drawing recreationally for some time - Captain Haddock. Being completely new to animation of any form I thought it made sense to work with a character familiar to me - getting to grips with the software and processes before moving onto my third and more complicated piece. I'll draw him catching and chewing flies.
My third gif is yet another robot type figure dancing. I'm hoping I'll be capable of drawing the figure putting a hat on, dancing until it falls off there creating a sad moment before the hat is picked up and put on again. Animating this little character is likely to be a much more complicated process than the first two, having multiple limbs and choreography to worry about.
