About The Author - short animations made using Adobe After Effects

I found Umbra to be quite a charming short film. Being all hand drawn before After Effects renders it rough around the edges but this being consistent is a pleasing quality. The strange little world created reflects something I would like to make, Douglas Adams work mostly revolving around his own made up worlds gives me plenty of room for maneuver in this sort of direction.

In constrast to Umbra, Between Bears is entirely digital. I was impressed with how the animation was capable of being rather emotive as I often find solely digital work to be rather cold. Something I'd like to take from this is the ambiance. I think this was achieved delicately in this film with the colour palette being very harmonious.
