My storyboards work alongside the Lino cuts I've been making. Bring images back to shape was not only helpful with my print making. I expected animation to be rather complicated and I would much rather work with shape driven imagery than complex sketches at this point in my understanding of After Effects.
These boards don't really take music into consideration. From what I've seen of very short animations so far the music is very important. In the short time available its difficult to build emotive impact or narrative. Making audio a key element for the audience to engage with as well as the images.
I wouldn't normal work too much with eyes as they're normally such a cliche. However I like some of the eyes in the cuts I've been making. Their simplicity and the nature of their printed texture could animate well.
