Soar - fly or rise high in the air.
My initial ideas included; birds, the sky, flight, fear of heights, clouds, planes, heron, chickens don't fly, or do they?, fast paced, weightlessness, eagle, see-soar.
These ideas were ok but nothing really jumped out in terms of how I could apply a bit of narrative to it. With some of my work on the Illustration Friday briefs so far I'm concerned that there isn't enough behind the image. I can however apply something I did recently to the word 'Saw', so I've challenged the brief to an extent, that or just changed it so I can do what I want.
I recently went to an awful circus in 'Great Yarmouth' (They really should drop the 'Great' as it's a shithole). At said circus a magician played a small part in the widely overdone role of cutting somebody in two. I was hoping it'd go all wrong, unfortunately I saw none of the blood and gore and so have had to draw what I can imagine the inside of the box looked like.
Adding to my 'visual Lego' collage methods I've started adding shapes made using the pen tool. I was worried that the combination of clean and rough edges would disagree however I think the combination is effective. Applying the textures to all of the shapes, some digitally made others printed entwines them.
