My three different concepts for the animation were varied in success. I'm happy with the use of the window in each story and how the characters would move in and out. However the first two ideas lack suitable festive narrative that I think the third supplies well.
In the above two stories I was attempting to make use of winter themed characters: an abominable penguin looking thing and a breakdancing yeti to form a fun but simple animation. Looking over them now they just seem a bit crap. I must have learnt something from this however and went on to make a third concept that I'm very keen on.
My favourite concept for proposal is a one minute shape driven animation that I think could have 'cool', 'creative' and 'original' results. I don't think the storyline is overly Christmassy but just the right amount and the combination of a classic robin character and a strange christmas snake kind of creature, makes for a new and original piece.
I'll take my favoured idea further by producing some conceptual images and perhaps a Linocut to give an essence of what I'd really like to make should my work get further than a proposal.
