At my first meeting with Relic, Elliot explained that he really liked my work and "basic shape stuff" I do, and that he wanted to give me the freedom to excel and design them a "sick logo". In an attempt to meet this need I collaged some shapes together with some drawing in Photoshop and sent three different roughs across to the team.
I also prepared eight more roughs with variation in colour, frame and texture.
Overall I think I've provided a good variety of work for Relic to choose from. I now find drawing / collaging digitally to be very productive making it easy for me to draw get down many different ideas in a decent amount of time. After the Fumetto brief I've been attempting to work with more pace as to keep my own interest, this also pleases the client.
Getting back Relic picked two designs they liked for further work. Elliot said that they liked the designs however the Relic (which we he agreed should be a pendant) needs to be more prominent - less or no character.
