I See Faces - Captain Haddock

Having finished the first one I feel more confident with the animation tools in Photoshop and the way I need to go about drawing frames in order to achieve my desired result.

I began by drawing my character in a neutral pose with a spear type thing. Before light boxing him loosely multiple times, opening the jaw and extending the tongue as I went. These drawings were put into frames and arranged in different combinations to simulate the chewing and flick of the tongue.

Finally the flies were added. Using these three little drawings in combinations made the wings flap briskly before the fly is eaten.

Overall I'm pleased with how this piece finished, being more energetic all over than the last. Again I'm pleased with the hand drawn animation quality. I think even the differing textures in the paper gives it an energy that wasn't as strong in the previous image.
