Composition - View Point and Depth

Understanding the use of depth, viewpoint and perspective were the general aims for this session. I found this 

We looked at many images analysing the compositional methods used. This illustration in-particular by Yann Kebbi makes nice use of depth by putting the building in the background on a slant. This gives the illusion of distance between the character on the ladder in the foreground and the background buildings that go further off into the distance.

In my work I attempted to create a sense of depth within a submarine interior. I used one point perspective to lead the eye down to the octopus breaching the volt thing. I think my image has sense of depth, how strong that is is questionable. My aim was to use a sharp and dynamic sense of perspective to compliment the urgency within the drawing as the character runs to fight off the invading tentacles.
