Having looked at lot of the briefs there was less than I had expected that sparked my imagination. Many of them bored me in that they were more design orientated. Eventually I decided upon two that I'd be happy to collaborate on. These being Fever Tree water bottle designs and MSC sustainable fishing animation.
Fever Tree's brief requests classy designs that I think my pencil drawing could contribute largely to. I'd happily work this with a graphic designer who ideally would with capable of putting the designs onto mockups and using text/logos effectively alongside my drawings.
MSC's brief is a little more exciting for me. I like drawing fish so that's positive. Working with animators is something I've never done and I'd very much like to see how my work can be taken and put into an animation.
Upon the mixing evening I went straight to the Fever Tree table where everybody else seemed to be. I quickly changed my mind as there were just too many people doing Fever Tree. Changing to the MSC table I met a graphic designer and two animators, we had a chat about why we wanted to work on this brief all agreeing on how we felt about the ethics of MSC.
All four of us decided to work together after a brief overview of each others work.
